The Fisher Space Pen company was founded by Paul C. Fisher a pioneer in the development of the ball point pen. In 1945 he set about to develop and manufacture the world's most dependable writing instruments.

To date thousands of hours of research and millions of dollars have been spent in developing the pressurised ballpoint pen with its unique ink and its better tungsten carbide ball. This truely revolutionary innovation allowed first the American Space programme in 1965 and the then the Russian Space programme in 1967 to dispense with lead pencils.

It was in 1967 that NASA finalised its rigorous testing and the Fisher Space Pen AG7 was provided to Astronauts because it was the only pen that would write in the gravity-free vacuum of outerspace.

However, the additional benefits to earth bound writers was that the Fisher Space Pen would write over fingerprints, under water, upside down, on wet paper in the freezing cold (-30F) and in extreme heat (+250F). Evaporation, wasted ink and back leakage are eliminated.

Shelf life is increased to over 100 years. Paul C Fisher personally invested over US$2 million dollars in developing his pressurised Space Pens. Unconditionally guaranteed to provide outstanding service both here on Earth and in Space, Fisher Space Pens are truly engineered for better writing.
