Startek Imports has been a supplier of quality writing instruments and executive gifts to the Australian marketplace for the past 25 years. In 1998 the company was acquired by the present owners, Peter and Rachel Hyman. At first the company was solely managed by Rachel but it was not long before Peter joined her on a full time basis. Together they have built a solid business which now represents some of the world’s leading brands in prestige writing instruments and desk accessories.

The very first pen sold by Startek Imports (previously known as Swanhurst) was the Byron. A wooden pen made in Australia. The success of the Byron led the then owners to seek other brands and they became the first country outside of the USA to act as a distributor for the Fisher Space Pen Company. Other agencies came and went and when Peter and Rachel took over the company the agencies were Fisher Space Pen, Tombow of Japan, Sensa of the USA and El Casco of Spain.

Peter and Rachel built the business with a few goals in mind. The first was to provide a high quality of service to  their customers . The second was to only acquire agencies that were of the highest quality. They also looked for writing instruments that  were unique in design and technological edge.

Over time more agencies were added till today Startek Imports represents world famous brands in writing instruments and executive gifts.
